Baby Registry Checklist - Things You Should Have on Your Registry

One of the most fun aspects of being pregnant is picking out items for your baby registry. Depending on how many baby showers you're planning on having, you can register at one or multiple stores. Registering online is a great and convenient option, though visiting the stores in person is also tons of fun.

The following items are things that every mom-to-be should have on her registry. You will definitely need at least one of the following products:

Diapers - Every new mom needs diapers for her baby. You can choose from disposable diapers or cloth ones. Cloth diapers are perfect for the environmentally friendly family, but disposable diapers are more convenient for most moms. Your little one will go through a lot of diapers (newborns can go through 5 to 9 diapers each day), so be sure to put this item on your baby registry. Receiving Blankets and Swaddle Blankets - Your husband may not understand why you need so many receiving blankets, but you'll definitely need them for your baby. You will probably go through several receiving blankets in a day. Swaddle blankets are wonderful ways to get baby to fall asleep, so you'll want to register for a couple. Diaper Rash Cream and Baby Lotions - Diaper rash is a way of life for many new parents, especially if you are using disposable diapers. You'll want to be prepared, so register for a couple of bottles of diaper rash cream. Baby lotion and baby shampoo is also a must-have for any mom. Breastfeeding or Bottle Feeding Supplies - If you are breastfeeding, you'll want to register for breast bumps and nursing pads. You may also want nursing covers for when you have to feed in public. If you plan to bottle feed your infant, you should register for bottles and formula. Baby Crib Bedding - You should also register for crib bedding on your baby registry. This will save you money when it comes to decorating your nursery, and every nursery needs a crib bedding collection to serve as the centerpiece. Baby Clothes - Even if you don't know the styles you want, you should still register for clothes. Let the shower guest choose what type of baby clothes they want to purchase for you. Baby Sling or Baby Carriers - This is a wonderful item to have on your registry. Baby slings and infant carriers can be expensive, but if you register for these items, you'll be saving some money and getting a stylish way to carry baby around. Strollers - Strollers are a must for any new mom. You can't leave the house without one. Register for your favorite type of stroller, even if it's out of your price range. You never know when a good friend or family member decides to get you one!
