Right Mattress Feel

Soft mattresses, the kind wherein you sink once your back hits its surface, can be hazardous. If your baby turns, there is a risk for suffocation. A firm mattress, on the other hand, can be too firm for the delicate lower body of your baby. They might suffer from lower back pains if you provide a mattress that is too firm.
So, it should be a cross between these two. If you choose a foam mattress, it should have 4 pounds of density. This density has been proven by numerous consumers as a mattress having just the right balance of firmness and softness. When you look for latex or memory foam, choose those with 4 pounds of density.
Good For The Health
Most mattresses today are made from chemical ingredients. If you bought it brand new, chances are, the smell of chemical is still too strong. In addition to that, the chemical ingredients are not good for a baby's sensitive skin. You might want to choose those that are hypoallergenic such as a latex mattress.
Some beds are also integrated with natural materials like bamboo. The more natural the mattress is, the better.
Latex is a good choice for babies. You can pick any other type of bedding technology but know that the best ones for little ones are still latex mattresses. It is up to you to make the right choice.
